With Winter comes a time to slow down and stay warm inside, away from the cold weather elements. I once enjoyed winter sports, like snowmobiling, tobogganing, skating, etc. Now I enjoy staying safe and warm inside and looking out the window and watching it all like a winter wonderland television series. lol

My birds, heh yeah, I call them all "my birds", as they are like  my extended family. Birds are a huge part of my life all year long, but I especially look for them in winter with hopes they get enough food and special treats when it's cold and blowing and not the most pleasant for their tiny feathered bodies.

Today, luckily enough, is a sunshine filled day and I am enjoying it immensely. We missed out on the sun for a few days in a row, and I tend to really notice it when it's absent. I gotta have my sunshine. Thanks so much for shining here today!

John's 70th Birthday & this weekend RV trip was his early Bday adventure surprise! He had no idea what the RV trip was about until he arrived there.

NEXT,we went to the MacDonald's Mine ~ The vortex ~

Quite the hill down slope to get into the vortex. Carrie and Seon look small at the opening of it. With Lisa & Sylvia part way up and John at the top of the hill.

There are various cave openings into the rock revealing more crystals & different rock types. Some caves were quite wet and we couldn't walk through them.

This cave was way too wet & dark to venture into it.

It was a beautiful sunshine filled day as we were exploring the vortex.

Lisa & Sylvia descending the toughest part of the vortex. We all had to be very careful coming down this section of loose rocks and it was a must to walk with our feet sideways to the slope in order not to fall.

I took this duplicate photo "without" the camera flash so it looked more mystical. :-)
